Lauren Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer- Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in both Instrumentation and Electrical Engineering. This role requires excellent communication skills, a technical mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Execution: Oversee the successful delivery of projects, including station installations, analyzer integrations, telemetry systems, automation upgrades, and MOV (Motor Operated Valve) installations.
  • Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work closely with civil engineers, project managers, and other disciplines to ensure that project requirements are met, and timelines are adhered to.
  • Specialized Systems Implementation: Manage projects focused on cathodic protection (CP) systems, generator installations for rectifiers, MCC upgrades, Arc Flash Studies, relay replacements, UPS upgrades, switchgear, and control panel installations.
  • Peer Reviews and Support: Assist with drawing stamping (a nice-to-have skill) and provide support in peer reviews to ensure all technical standards are met.
  • Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and project stakeholders to provide updates, resolve issues, and maintain strong working relationships.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 6-10 years of relevant experience in Instrumentation & Controls (I&C), with hands-on involvement in project management and engineering.
  • Industry Background: Proven experience working within Oil & Gas, Consulting, or other related industries.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of Instrumentation, Electrical, and Control Systems design and implementation.
    • Experience with Analyzer installations, telemetry systems, and automation of existing sites.
    • Knowledge of MOV installations, MCC upgrades, Arc Flash Studies, and switchgear.
    • Familiarity with cathodic protection and generator installations.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external clients.
  • Certifications: P.Eng
