Job Description
Parsec is looking for antenna engineers with experience in antenna design, antenna test and design validation. You will work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment, where we are innovating new concepts and applying Parsec’s mindset of iterating rapidly to go from design and demo to manufacturing capability at a fast pace.
Key Responsibilities
- Design of advanced 600MHz to 6GHz antennas in support of next generation products.
- Test and iterate on products to enable high field reliability and performance in all environments and use cases.
- Perform design validation testing of prototype and production designs.
- Analyze in-the-field operational RF performance data of units and investigate methods to improve performance and debug issues.
- Develop design criteria, collaborate on requirements, and design optimization.
- Will be producing high quality prototypes and reference products for product development and automated test setup.
- Perform basic RF test equipment test setup and troubleshooting as needed.
- Support the Engineers’ efforts to work with the team to help improve processes, equipment issues, etc. to constantly improve productivity.
- Support antenna chamber measurements.
- Support creation of antenna technical data sheets.
- Collect measured RF performance and format for presentation.
- Provides one-on-one training to associates.
- Coordinate with equipment/service vendors for test equipment maintenance.
- Proactively provide critical feedback and communication to help improve assembly process to increase quality and throughput.
- Maintain an organized and functional laboratory workspace, including preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and make basic repairs and calibrations to analytical and production equipment.
- Develop standard operating procedures and formalize appropriate documentation.
- Maintain all laboratory calibration records.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline or Antenna Engineer Certification.
- 2+ years of research or development experience in the general areas of RF and antennas (internship and thesis work acceptable)
- 1+ years of experience using one of the 3D EM simulation tools such as CST, HFSS, FEKO, EMPro, TICRA or XFDTD.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with basic RF concepts such as impedance matching, linear and aperture antennas, smith chart, power handling metrics (IIP2, IMD), microwave network analysis, RF filter design.

- 1+ years of programming experience in Python, C#, C++, or MATLAB
- Familiarity with antenna measurement techniques and tools such as an echoic/reverb chambers, near field EM measurements.
- Familiarity with antenna prototyping tools and techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding start-up atmosphere.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and meticulous data recording.
- Must have excellent soldering skills and have experience working with basic hand tools such as hand saw, angle grinder, drill, files, shears, screwdrivers etc.
- Knowledge of basic statistical concepts like average and standard deviation and how to use Excel to analyze data would be a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Shift: Monday to Firday-9:00AM to 5:30PM
Salary: Starting at $70,000.00 per year
Salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
