Job Description 

Parsec is looking for antenna engineers with experience in antenna design, antenna test and design validation. You will work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment, where we are innovating new concepts and applying Parsec’s mindset of iterating rapidly to go from design and demo to manufacturing capability at a fast pace.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design of advanced 600MHz to 6GHz antennas in support of next generation products.
2. Test and iterate on products to enable high field reliability and performance in all environments and use cases.
3. Perform design validation testing of prototype and production designs.
4. Analyze in-the-field operational RF performance data of units and investigate methods to improve performance and debug issues.
5. Develop design criteria, collaborate on requirements, and design optimization.
6. Will be producing high quality prototypes and reference products for product development and automated test setup.
7. Perform basic RF test equipment test setup and troubleshooting as needed.
8. Support the Engineers’ efforts to work with the team to help improve processes, equipment issues, etc. to constantly improve productivity.
9. Support antenna chamber measurements.
10. Support creation of antenna technical data sheets.
11. Collect measured RF performance and format for presentation.
12. Provides one-on-one training to associates.
13. Coordinate with equipment/service vendors for test equipment maintenance.
14. Proactively provide critical feedback and communication to help improve assembly process to increase quality and throughput.
15. Maintain an organized and functional laboratory workspace, including preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment.
16. Ability to troubleshoot and make basic repairs and calibrations to analytical and production equipment.
17. Develop standard operating procedures and formalize appropriate documentation.
18. Maintain all laboratory calibration records.

Basic Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline or Antenna Engineer Certification.
2. 2+ years of research or development experience in the general areas of RF and antennas (internship and thesis work acceptable)
3. 1+ years of experience using one of the 3D EM simulation tools such as CST, HFSS, FEKO, EMPro, TICRA or XFDTD.

Preferred Skills and Experience

1. Experience with basic RF concepts such as impedance matching, linear and aperture antennas, smith chart, power handling metrics (IIP2, IMD), microwave network analysis, RF filter design.

3. 1+ years of programming experience in Python, C#, C++, or MATLAB
4. Familiarity with antenna measurement techniques and tools such as an echoic/reverb chambers, near field EM measurements.
5. Familiarity with antenna prototyping tools and techniques.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding start-up atmosphere.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Strong analytical, troubleshooting and debugging skills.
9. Excellent attention to detail and meticulous data recording.
10. Must have excellent soldering skills and have experience working with basic hand tools such as hand saw, angle grinder, drill, files, shears, screwdrivers etc.
11. Knowledge of basic statistical concepts like average and standard deviation and how to use Excel to analyze data would be a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Shift:  Monday to Firday-9:00AM to 5:30PM

Salary:  Starting at $70,000.00 per year

Salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
