About the job:

Role Summary: 

The Director of Sales will work within the UK team to successfully secure new logo business for Daon.  The successful candidate will take a lead role in driving revenue growth through the direct acquisition of new customers.    

Key target markets are Fintech, Digital Banks, Mid Tier Financial Services as well as F1000 customers within the Insurance, Gaming, Telecom and Technology Firms and other companies as agreed upon by the management team.  

Opportunity sourcing, identification and pipeline development through a combination of networking, cold calling, opportunity pursuit, market knowledge/intelligence, and market development campaigns. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • New logo hunting new business which includes source, find, and close. 
  • Full management of sales process, including business development, opportunity qualification, and preparation of bid/no bid recommendations and pursuit of the end-to-end sales cycle to close deals. 
  • Developing and maintaining strong commercial relationships with end customers, as well as System Integrators and Technology Partners where applicable. 
  • Working closely with the Daon teams and other strategic contributors to devise medium- and long-term sales strategies. 
  • Working hand in hand with end customers to define their requirements and continuing involvement to ensure successful implementation. 
  • Working closely with all other parts of the company to ensure maximum leverage of resources. 
  • Growing Daon’s market segments through direct customer interactions. 
  • Quarterly Sales Review (QSR) presentation preparation and delivery. 
  • Build account plans and strategies for each target account.  
  • Continuously update HubSpot to maintain accurate records and pipeline hygiene to foster up to date accurate forecasting for leadership. 

Person Description: 

 

Education & Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years’ market and solution specific sales experience within the IDV and Authentication space 
  • Bachelors in Technical/Business or relevant field required. 
  • Sales training including Consultative/Solutions selling. 
  • Experienced sellers from the following companies will get priority: Mitek, Onfido, Jumio, Veriff, Yoti, ID Verse, Ping Identity/Forgerock, Transmit Security, Incode. 

 

Profile, Skills and Experience: 

  • We are seeking a professionally experienced representative, someone who is extremely ambitious and wants to succeed! 
  • Must have relevant sales experience and a background in cybersecurity, identity management space, financial services, or other technology related field relevant to biometric software deployment. 
  • Must be high energy and dynamic in their approach to work. Must understand the culture of selling solutions and building strategic relationships. 
  • A proven track record of success driving consultative led complex solution sales/partnerships in overachieving quotas. 
  • High level contacts and relationships in key end customers essential, partners, agents with credibility and respect within this community essential. 
  • Proven and consistent over achiever, notable achievements to be outlined, and verifiable. 
  • Opening up and referring new vertical market opportunities to the company. 
  • Experience selling complex, mission critical enterprise software into an emerging market and innovatively creating real market opportunities. 
  • Well-rounded individual who can drive sales process from cold calling to structured lead generation, tracking and managing sales pipeline, and management reporting and execution. 
  • Ability to think and act strategically whilst maintaining a pragmatic commercial perspective. 
  • Strong influencing style and presence; articulate and confident. 
  • Development of presentation and trade show materials. 
  • Highly committed, energetic, determined and “win-win” mentality. 

 

Special Circumstances 

  • Frequent weekly travel within the territory as required (travel up to 50% time). 
  • Proximity to London essential with 3 days a week in the city.
