Sales Manager DACH

Fotokite develops autonomous, high-endurance tethered unmanned aerial systems to help firefighters and public safety teams save lives.

Fotokite systems allow first responders to quickly and easily gain situational awareness after arriving at emergency scenes: our autonomous one-touch launch/land system makes operation simple and safe; the dual color and thermal camera payload provides situational awareness from the system’s aerial perspective; and actively tethered flight means the system can be flown without a certified pilot, and can be left flying for as long as the situation requires.

We are seeking a Sales Manager to be responsible for expanding our sales activities by selling and introducing Fotokite products and services to both established and new Fire, Law Enforcement, EMS, Public Safety and other relevant customer groups with focus on the DACH region alongside other key territories. This position conducts field demos as well as fulfills requests for orders, quotations, and lead times. Primarily involves initiating, tracking, and following up on leads the organization generates via multiple channels. In addition, this position is responsible for driving demand in an assigned territory for all Fotokite products and services in relevant user groups.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing and executing a regional sales plan that includes outbound prospecting, lead generation and field sales engagement to help meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
• Supports increase of customer base by identifying decision makers amongst the targeted leads or accounts to begin the sales process
• Initiates, manages, and retains relationships with existing clients 
• Captures, maintains, and expands the data in the CRM with opportunities, customers, and additional contacts
• Creates actionable sales lead database (from online search, upcoming leads, demos, and exhibitions)
• Supports management of a portfolio of public safety accounts to achieve long-term customer satisfaction leading to additional sales
• Develops positive relationships and handles customers’ needs
• Possesses an in-depth knowledge of our products and value proposition
• Provides effective product demos for end-user customers–in person and virtually
• Attends industry conferences and regional trade shows to develop industry expertise and customer pipelines
• Liaises with support team to provide resolution to customers issues in the most efficient way
• Expected travel (up to 50% or more depending on region)

Education / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Masters Degree in Business Administration  Development, Economics, Finance, or Marketing or equivalent applicable experience is required
• Minimum of 2 years in a Sales / Business Development role
• Experience in, or with, public safety agencies is desired but not required
• Experience with a CRM tool
• Highly proficient computer skills including G Suite and Microsoft suite
• Prominent organization and presentation skills
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven ability to negotiate with customers
• Fluency in German and English is required, any additional language is a plus
• Experience working in an international company is a plus
