The Senior Associate in Client Services Trade Team is responsible for the operational execution of GLAS’s traded deals, with a strong emphasis on expertise in ClearPar, the trade settlement system. This role requires a high degree of autonomy and adaptability in handling loan servicing platforms and is pivotal in ensuring smooth and timely settlements. The candidate will act as the primary assignments contact, overseeing a dedicated portfolio of Loans and fostering effective communication between Borrowers and Lenders.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute trade settlements with a focus on ClearPar, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all traded deals.
  • Oversee transfer requests, handling data entry and validation within ClearPar and associated loan systems.
  • Act as the main point of contact for lenders and borrowers’ transaction notifications, and client inquiries with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain up-to-date deal documentation in ClearPar, ensuring compliance with operational standards.
  • Generate and analyse weekly MIS reports to support continuous operational improvement and provide insights for leadership.
  • Handle escalations independently and collaborate with Team Leaders and Managers to address workflow challenges.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in balancing multiple priorities within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Inputting relevant data into the loan system Solvas.
  • Receiving and checking SSI’s, initiating the call back process where necessary.
  • Receiving and checking admin details and updating Solvas where necessary.
  • Updating Debtdomain.
  • Liaising with accounts for the reconciliation of Transfer Fee’s
  • Assisting with the weekly MIS reports
  • Training with the Senior Client Services Administrator’s to gain an understanding of the daily workflow
  • Timely escalation of relevant matters to Team Leader and/or Managers.
  • Due diligence with regards to potential fraud, money laundering, and both financial and reputational risk to GLAS.

 

Person Specification

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 1-3 years of loan closing or servicing experience.
  • Ability to effectively manage priorities while balancing competing demands and deadlines
  • Proficiency in ClearPar and familiarity with other loan servicing platforms, especially within trade settlement operations preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to work autonomously, making well-informed decisions and seeking guidance when necessary.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks efficiently.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, adept at managing internal and external relationships.
  • Adaptable and collaborative, willing to adjust to team objectives and evolving operational demands.
