About the Role

Amisfield is currently interviewing for position of Senior Server with the possibility of moving to the role of Duty Manager. We are after individuals that bring professionalism to their job, and are enthusiastic, lead by example and bring true leadership to the role. The successful applicant neds to be mindful and passionate about the place they work and the job they choose to work in.   You will be providing our customers with an unrivalled dining experience, with duties such as: 

• Providing exceptional table service with a focus on detail and guest satisfaction
• Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the menu, wine list, sequence of service
• interacting with our customers and educating them about the company, our wine, and our wine club
• Guiding and supporting junior team members, acting as a mentor and role model
• Assisting in managing daily floor operations to maintain efficiency and a high standard of service
• Assisting with routine restaurant tasks such as setting and preparing tables,  polishing cutlery, and glasses, when required
• Collaborating with the management team to uphold restaurant policies and standards
• Can bring to the team new perspectives of doing things from previous roles

We are looking for those that have the following attributes:

• A passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Can demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills and interact with a high volume of customers
• A great team-player approach with the desire and hunger to grow your knowledge about NZ food, wine and service
• At least 1 year experience in a restaurant hospitality role as this will help you ease into your new position here with us creating exceptional dining
• Selling skills, bar skills, barista skills, food safety knowledge and F&B service skills are pre-requisites for success
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support team members.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
• A General Manager’s licence or the ability to obtain would be highly regarded

Applicants for this position should have New Zealand citizenship/residency or a valid New Zealand work visa & be committed to the Queenstown Lakes Region.
