About the job:
The Business Development Representative will work as part of the broader sales and marketing team and will report to the VP of Market Strategy – Health and Social Care. This person will be highly motivated and persistent in prospecting and nurturing opportunities for Ready Computing products and services. They will leverage their expertise within the target market to create and curate leads, orchestrate initial conversations, meetings, and entry points for customers, and clearly articulate Ready Computing’s value and solutions. They will focus on creating win-win relationships and sales to promote the growth of the company. This person will maintain a robust leads and opportunities pipeline and provide insight and reporting on sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:
Product and Services Expertise
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Ready Computing products and services
Market Analysis and Competitive Positioning
- Understand competitive offerings and position Ready Computing products and services accordingly.
- Remain current on selling best practices, and industry needs through self-education and formal training.
Client Development and Relationship Management
- Develop and expand portfolio of clients in the social care and case management market space.
- Prospect, nurture, and close new opportunities for services and products using a measurable, goal-oriented process.
- Establish a regular cadence of follow-up with prospects and potential customers, utilizing multiple methods of engagement and contact.
Needs Assessment and Solution Presentation
- Understand client needs and present appropriate solutions to meet those needs.
- Foster an understanding of the value propositions related to addressing Health Related Social Needs across the healthcare ecosystem for key stakeholders including providers, payers, federal/state agencies, and community based organizations.
Collaboration and Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with sales engineers, proposal managers, marketing specialists, and others in the sales organization to present well-groomed and targeted customer offerings.
- Collaborate with Product Management to communicate new product feature opportunities based on discussions with prospects and industry trends
Negotiation and Contract Management
- Negotiate financial terms of client agreements, subject to management approval.
Data Management and Reporting
- Maintain and manage data pertaining to sales opportunities in the company’s CRM.
Representation and Networking
- Represent the company at tradeshows, user group meetings, and other marketing events.
Technical Skills
- Proven excellent presentation skills
- Demonstrable expertise in HubSpot and ZoomInfo
- Demonstrable expertise in Microsoft Office products, particularly Powerpoint, Word and Excel;
- Demonstrable expertise about core principles of Health Related Social Needs, Social Determinants of Health, case management, and referral management
- Operating Systems: Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows, Linux, or macOS.
- Project Management Software: Familiarity with project management tools like Jira, Trello, or Asana for tracking tasks and project deliverables.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Log time each week in corporate time-tracking system;
- Travel on occasion to customer and partner sites;
- Maintain company and customer information confidential at all times;
- Take on other responsibilities and assignments as from time to time requested by management.

Education and Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of Social Care Software and Services Business Development/Sales
- Experience: 3-5+ years of developing and delivering impactful, high quality presentations to prospective customers
Physical & Mental Qualifications:

- All positions require the ability to work on a computer for at least eight (8) hours per day. This includes fine and gross manipulation (typing and utilizing the mouse), looking at a computer screen for extended periods of time, and visual acuity (reading from a computer screen). This also includes the ability to sit and stand for a combined period of at least eight (8) hours per day.
- All positions require minimum and infrequent lifting requirements (laptop).
- No positions require walking requirements apart from the travel and commute as stated in this section.
- All positions require the ability to talk on the phone.
- Most positions require occasional travel.
- All positions require the ability to focus on numerous tasks and project requirements throughout an eight (8) hour workday.
