One of our investments, First Impression Iron Works is hiring for this role. First Impression Iron Works is the premier designer, manufacturer, and installer of custom iron security doors, iron entry doors, iron & wood gates, iron railings, and iron sunscreens. Everything they sell is 100% American made in Arizona. First Impression Iron Works beats out its competitors due to the fact they manufacture everything made to order, themselves. Additionally, they have built a highly sophisticated lead generation engine and high touch sales and implementation experiences for their customers. Because of their unique and successful approach to home services and the repeatable process they have built, they are looking to acquire more localized home services businesses and implement this best-in-class process to help them scale.

About the Role

First Impression Iron Works is looking for a Technical Product Manager & Implementation Specialist to understand their business objectives and translate those into technical requirements. The objective of this position is to establish technological infrastructure and processes that will provide the company with continuous data, insights, and analysis that is necessary to help achieve FIIW’s strategic objectives of acquiring more localized business and building a national network of brands. While the most immediate focus of this role will be on moving the business from on prem Microsoft Dynamics to the Cloud, once this is complete, this person will not only be looked at to take a Product Management mindset with Dynamics – always looking for a way to use the technology to solve business problems – but for all technologies within the business. The right candidate will have a total system view and be able to provide architectural guidance for vendor and service choices.

Responsibilities:

• Work with internal stakeholders to develop and implement overarching enterprise architecture and operational plans, based on an understanding of business needs, strategic priorities, processes, and risks

• Work closely with senior leadership and other stakeholders to implement, configure, integrate, & deploy suitable technology solutions that correspond to the competitive strategy of FIIW

• Constantly assess technologies to solve evolving business needs

• Help maintain accurate program estimates, timelines, project plans, and status reports for critical business applications programs of work (ERP, PIM, CRM, WMS, etc)

• Assist with vendor management and service reviews, including RFP processes

• Help provide ongoing governance of execution against technology operations priorities

• Analyze risks and impacts of proposed system and application changes

• Provide clear documentation for new and existing processes

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent analytical and documentation skills, including the ability to lead technical reviews and architectural representation, such as functional architecture diagrams

• Experience mapping processes and systems, to then improve them

• Experience managing critical business applications such as ERP, CRM, WMS, PIM, etc

• Tech-savvy vendor management is a must – need to be able to evaluate options, manage contractors, run tech projects

• Experience working within a lead generating business and an understanding of that sales funnel and what technologies are essential for it to succeed

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 On-Premises and Cloud Base preferred

• Working knowledge of cloud-based architectures (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) and key products

• An ability to drive to big picture goals and milestones while valuing and maintaining a strong attention to detail as well as hands-on involvement

• Demonstrated ability to connect strategy with tactics to deliver value for companies

• Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills

• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship building skills, and ability to achieve results without direct reporting relationships

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of subject matter experts

• Must have hands-on and scrappy systems management experience
