Position Overview:
Mission East is seeking an experienced and dedicated Regional Programme Manager to oversee the effective implementation of donor-funded projects in the Khorog region. This role involves supporting the Mission East field team and local partners to ensure project success across the areas of WASH, DRR, and Disability & Inclusion. The ideal candidate will have the expertise to build strong relations with local authorities, stakeholders, and beneficiaries while ensuring programme deliverables align with Mission East’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programme Management: Lead the implementation of WASH, DRR, and Disability & Inclusion projects, manage field teams, and ensure adherence to project work plans.
- Staff Management: Direct field staff performance, participate in recruitment, and conduct evaluations to maintain effective programme delivery.
- Finance & Administration: Coordinate with finance and logistics teams to manage project budgets, procurement, and reporting.
- Coordination & Representation: Act as Mission East’s regional representative, maintaining collaboration with government, local partners, and INGO networks.
- Visibility: Support visibility activities for donors, including social media and printed materials, in alignment with Mission East’s communication goals.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Conduct project monitoring, report progress to donors, and uphold Mission East’s accountability and complaint mechanisms.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Advanced degree in Social Protection, Health Science, Disaster Management, Environmental Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of programme management experience, with at least 5 years in an INGO setting, preferably in WASH, DRR, and Inclusive Development.
- Proven background in project planning, community mobilization, and team management.
- Solid experience in budget preparation, report writing, and staff capacity building.
- Strong skills in MS Office, project cycle management, and field-based operations.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
Desirable:
- Knowledge in social assessments, baselines, and poverty ranking methodologies.
- Experience working in challenging or volatile settings.
