JOB DESCRIPTION:
Felix Construction Company is seeking Assistant Project Managers that will lead small water and wastewater treatment projects throughout the Phoenix metro area ($250k – $1M) or be a team member on a larger project. The Individual must be self-motivated and possess strong communication/interpersonal skills.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Work closely with clients, GC’s, superintendents, safety manager, field personnel, estimators, project managers, and all others involved in projects.
- Work with superintendents and field staff to coordinate and effectively manage material schedules, work schedules, job material and equipment purchases.
- Complete AutoCAD installation drawing packages for our field team.
- Produce project billings, budgets, and purchase orders.
- Process change order requests, and related project administrative documents.
- Complete effective and accurate submittals.
- Prepare and review operations and maintenance manuals.
- Develop logical and sequential project schedules using Microsoft Project.
- Maintain project schedules and budgets.
- Represent the company in a professional manner.
- Work from the Felix Construction Phoenix Headquarters and make frequent job site visits around the Valley.
WHO YOU ARE:
- Construction management, civil engineering or mechanical engineering degree required.
- 3+ years of water/wastewater construction industry experience highly desired.
- Advanced Excel and Bluebeam skills highly desired.
- Basic AutoCAD experience preferred.
- Able to read plans and specifications for all the disciplines on a typical water/wastewater project.
- Alternative Procurement Delivery Method (APDM) experience highly desired (CSP, CMAR, D-B, JOC, etc.)
- Take initiative and handles ambiguity well.
- Provide correspondence that is clear, concise, and accurate.
- Work collaboratively with others and communicate professionally to meet shared objectives.
- Have the legal right to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship.
