Position Summary:
The Clinical Manager, will perform the primary functions as a professional nurse leader in assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating perioperative services day-to-day operations on a 24-hour basis to assure the Hospital and Department mission and vision are met. Will manage the Operating Room, PACU, Sterile Processing, Outpatient Perioperative/Infusion Center Services, and Invasive Procedures performed outside the Operating Room within department operating budget and capital budget criteria. Assures department compliance with standards of nursing practice and hospital and department policies and procedures.
Promotes positive guest relations and teamwork among the medical staff, department and support personnel and other departments. Assures department operations meet all state, federal, licensing & certification and accreditation standards. Prepares Hospital department budget in accordance with Hospital Accounting policies.
Qualifications:
Requires minimum Bachelors Degree. Prefer Masters Degree in Nursing, Management or equivalent experience. Requires Minimum five (5) years recent Operating Room clinical experience, including at least five (5) years Operating Room management experience.
Requires Operating Room Clinical Nursing skills. Clinical competencies for adult, adolescent, pediatric and adult patients. Obstetric Surgical-Perinatal experience preferred. Computer Skills; Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven guest relations and professional communication skills.
Requires Current State of California Registered Nurse License, Current National Certification (CRON or equivalent), Current American Heart Association BCLS required, and Current American Heart Association ACLS preferred.
