Freelance Digital Editor with Drink experience

India- Remote

We are a fast-growing, global content agency that delivers amazing audience-led content that helps brands connect with their audiences. We work for global brands and organisations including Unilever, Campari, Sanofi and many others. As our social media strategic support and output increases, we are expanding our team, led by our Head of Content.    

We are looking for an experienced Senior Editor to join Green Park Content. This is a dedicated content role with the primary objective of maximising website traffic and brand awareness for a new content hub for drinks brand in India. A performance mindset, attention to detail and knowledge of the drinks business in India are required for this role.

Responsibilities:  

• Updating a number of existing articles according to SEO best practice. 

• Optimising existing articles to make them relevant for the Indian market and to reflect cultural and market sensitivities.  

• Uploading articles to a CMS and ensuring articles are pristinely written and formatted. 

• Working with the Global Editor to ensure best practice and tone of voice is in place for all articles. 

• Reporting back to the business on suitability of content for the market and suggesting adaptations. 

• Auditing existing content for relevancy for the Indian market and prioritizing adaptations and optimisations accordingly. 

• Working closely with our SEO team to ensure all articles are well optimized and follow SEO best practice. 

• Ad-hoc sourcing of images for articles as required. 

Requirements: 

• Minimum 3-5 years’ writing and digital editing experience, ideally in a newsroom environment. 

• A keen eye for industry trends and strong editorial instinct for a good story.  

• Be the guardian for the site look and feel and have a strong eye for imagery 

• Experience sourcing and interviewing industry leaders for quotes and features. 

• A sound understanding of SEO and KPIs based on organic traffic success. Knowledge of Google Analytics / Semrush / Adwords tools. 

• Be able to meet hard deadlines. 

• Native English speaker. 

• Inbound marketing expertise (content marketing and SEO). 

• Knowledge of the drinks industry, specifically in India, and drinks trends
