Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate General Education Teacher for grades 5-8 to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality instruction across various subjects, supporting student achievement, and helping students develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential for success in today’s world.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that align with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards.
• Create a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and learning.
• Monitor and assess student performance, providing timely feedback and adjusting instruction as needed to meet individual learning needs.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, instructional coaches, and school leadership to continuously improve instructional practices and curriculum implementation.
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student progress, needs, and areas of concern.
• Foster a positive and inclusive school culture by encouraging respect, responsibility, and empathy among students.
• Utilize technology and digital tools to enhance instruction and support student learning in alignment with our STEAM-focused curriculum.
• Participate in school-wide professional development, faculty meetings, and collaborative planning sessions.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance.
• Uphold school policies and procedures, including maintaining classroom management and a safe learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (required).
• Valid Texas teaching certification is preferred but not required.
• Experience teaching in a classroom setting (preferred).
• Strong understanding of state curriculum and assessment frameworks (TEKS).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create differentiated learning experiences to meet diverse student needs.
• Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction to enhance student learning.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration with colleagues.
• Ability to establish a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
