Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
– Implement a curriculum based on the developmental stages of the preschool aged child
– Work closely with the Preschool Coordinator
– Manage classroom behavior and program practices according to As We Grow Preschool guidelines
– Direct the work of the preschool Teacher Assistant
– Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:
– High school graduate with a valid diploma and 21 years of age, with 60 hours of college credits, 6 credits of which are in early childhood education
– One year experience working with preschool age children, with a special knowledge of children’s physical, emotional and social developmental patterns  
– Acquire CPR/AED and First Aid certification and keep current
– Complete a minimum of 15 hours continuing education credits per preschool year
– Ability to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances
– Statement acknowledging mandated reporter of child abuse status
– Understand and exhibit behavior consistent with stated values of the park district

Pay Rate:

$19-$21/hour
